Our beginner’s Haircutting and Barbering course gives you a great introduction to hair cutting techniques. Learn the vital skills you need to cut hair in today’s industry. In this course the students will cover a range of cuts for men and women. 

This training course teaches the generic treatment techniques and processes, it is not brand specific, We took this approach following student feedback so that students are not tied into specific kits or brand as part of the course fee. We recommend attending training where you will gain advice about different brands and suppliers to enable you to purchase your chosen products after having taken the course.

This course is structured over three days and runs from 10am – 5pm. We ask students to arrive at 9.30am to ensure a prompt start. You will learn the theory of the treatment firstly, and spend the majority of the day practising your practical skills, with a short break for lunch. 

On the training day, you only need to bring food for your lunch (e.g. sandwich/salad). Tea & coffee will be provided.

We let you suggest when you would like to book your training courses, making it extra convenient for you. Please make sure you give us the correct contact information, without this, we will not be able to deal with your request. 

A £50 deposit is to be paid upon booking. Once you have made contact and have your chosen course date, you will need to complete payment. The remaining balance will be payable on the day of the course.

During this course you’ll learn the basics of haircutting and barbering on models and practice heads. Plus the industry's health and safety guidelines and how to correctly use your products and tools. This course also gives you experience of, long hair trimming, cutting long and short layers, and cutting a bob. You will also cover men’s hair styles including a textured cut, short back and sides and continuity requirements. Throughout this course you will be assessed on all skills.

No pre-requisites are required to take this course, however some experience will be an advantage. All products and tools are provided for the training day at the salon when you attend. No kit is required to complete the course, nor included in the course fee.

When you have successfully completed your training course, you will receive a certificate issued by Forever Enhanced Training Academy and accredited by BIA (Beauty Industry Approval) allowing you to begin working with clients providing hair cutting treatments. This not only demonstrates your commitment to the training, but also allows you to obtain Public Liability insurance. 

Once you have finished your practical training day with us, students will be required to create a portfolio of photos and clients feedback. Once this has been completed and we are satisfied with your work, your certificate will be emailed to you. If you would like a paper copy of your certificate these are available on request.
